Katy Perry Grieving Divorce; Not Attending People’s Choice Awards…

The last time we saw Katy Perry was over the holiday weekend sans her soon-to-be ex-husband Russell Brand.

The “Firework” singer has been in hiding since the announcement of her divorce and has now dropped out of plans to attend the 2012 People’s Choice Awards airing Wednesday (Jan. 9) night.

Perry took to her Twitter account Monday (Jan. 7) afternoon to make the official announcement.

“Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People’s Choice Awards. I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed!” #KATYCATS

We wish Katy all the best and hope to hear new music from her soon!
