BET’s ‘The Game’ Season 5 Premiere… [Recap & Video]

BET’s scripted show ‘The Game’ returned to network television tonight [Jan. 10] and took off with a bang!

The premiere episode of season five answered many questions that  fans have been itching to have answered since the explosive season finale!

While most of the cast mates are back for the new season, Derwin, Melanie, Malik, Tasha Mack, and Jason, noticeably absent is Kelly Pitts, played by Brittany Daniels, who has taken a break from the show.

…The first episode of season 5 continued where season 4 left off; Melanie revealed that she had an abortion during the time that Derwin cheated on her with Drew Sadora.

Malik’s model girlfriend Jenna overdoses.

Tasha Mack realizes she made a mistake letting Derwin go as a client.

Jason acts like well, Jason, and is rude to a bartender called Chardonnay, played by Brandy. The two end up getting drunk and head south of the border to Mexico where they elope!!!

Melanie and Derwin throw a party for Derwin’s son Derwin reveals that he’s not sure if he would’ve stayed with Melanie if she had kept her baby with Trey Wiggs.

Supermodel Selita Ebanks also made a special appearance on tonight’s episode.
