On August 25, 2001, the world was in shock to learn the beautiful Aaliyah Dana Haughton was among nine killed after an airplane crash on Abaco island in The Bahamas after filming the video for “Rock The Boat.”
Today we celebrate the Brooklyn born, Detroit raised singer, who has paved the way for many R&B singers.
Aaliyah will forever be remembered as a beautiful and talented artist, who wasn’t afraid to push the envelope and be different.
