Azealia Banks Boycotts Dolce & Gabbana Over Racist Line!

We love Azealia Banks, but she’s always in the news for all of the wrong reasons…

This time the ’212′ rapper is feuding with Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana over what she calls ‘racist’ ‘mammi’ designs.

The designs in question are from the house’s Spring 2013 collection and appear to depict Blackamoor imagery [depictions of black Africans used in sculpture, jewelry, designs and decorative art] but according to Dolce the designs are actually ‘Moorish’ figures from Sicily. [We scream b.s.]

Banks hopped on Twitter this weekend and blasted D&G saying,

“Whoever designed that racist *ss Dolce and Gabanna [sic] collection needs a swift kick in the mouth and a big d*ck up the *ss. I really hate when people do corny, racist things then try to justify it as ‘art.’ It’s all just really unnecessary. The clothes in the collection were fine without all the “black mammie” imagery.”

I can’t disagree with Azealia on this one.  But, I’m not so sure the designer intended for the designs to be considered racist but they’re kinda horrible!
