Bishop Eddie Long Headlines ‘Spirit & Truth’ Conference In The Bahamas…

Here’s the back story…
A few months ago, Bishop Eddie Long was embroiled in a scandal of epic proportions. The almighty Atlanta mega church leader was accused of inappropriate relations with [hold on let me count]….five men, all of whom he payed mega bucks to settle lawsuits with.
Although Bishop Eddie Long denied the accusations, around $15 million was paid out to the five accusers, all of whom were bound to secrecy by a confidentiality agreement.
Now lets talk about the conference…
Bishop Longstroke is set to headline a big ole’ conference entitled ‘Spirit & Truth’ 2012 in The Bahamas. The two-day conference takes place this September 10-12 and is a ‘leadership conference specifically for pastors & church leaders.
My first question is …Does a settlement amount to a submission of truth? Surely if Mr. Long paid out millions to these men what does that mean? Hmmmmm
My second question is…In The Bahamas, the Christian Council is sure to protest and kick up dust when rap/reggae artists come to our shores because of their lyrics but we have a man that was in the midst of a MAJOR scandal and he’s being allowed to enter the country with no hesitation? A bit hypocritical aren’t we?
I’m sorry throw holy water on me and curse me in tongues but I don’t agree with Eddie Long being allowed into The Bahamas spot free. We don’t need the negative press that I assure you is brewing. Long has been laying low for a while and this is his big coming out…

Maybe if some the pastors weren’t so hell bent on blocking the legalization of gambling they would be able to address the real issues at hand!
