Taylor Swift is an incredible success, no matter which way you put it. Which young female artist will be the first female in Soundcan history to have back-to-back albums sell one million plus albums within its first week of release? Which young female artist do you know can get away with having as many boyfriends to write about and still is seen as a wholesome role model? All of the above, sign Taylor Swift next to each.
This past week saw the release of Taylor Swift’s fourth studio album, RED. We did a brief but thorough listen to the album and Taylor Swift just keeps on creating solid albums. The girl can sing about the topic of sex and make it sound so innocent. Swift also mixed more mainstream Pop into her signature country sound without taking the lane of style over substance.
The album was obviously crafted and calculated to have mass appeal and that is true with track number six. The Martin & Shellback-produced “22″ states, “Everything will be alright if you keep me next to you/ You don’t know about me but I bet you want to.” The super fun and catchy cut is very much Taylor Swift and is the type to have grown men humming along; the song is just that catchy.
Everyone says they are sick and tired of hearing Swift but she keeps on selling those records. We are more than sure that “22″ will be a true radio hit. Take a listen and decide for yourself.
