Frank Ocean Storms Coachella Stage!
Frank Ocean took the stage at last year’s Coachella with the rest of OFWGKTA (Odd Future…) but this year it was time for him to make his own splash.
The crooner performed in front of his largest crowd to date but not without technical difficulties. Singing tracks from Nostalgia, Ultra, along with teases of new material, Ocean’s go-with-the-flow approach had the crowd vibing along all the way. Half-way through his performance of ‘Thinkin’ About You’ ocean cut the music and went acoustic knocking out those falsettos. He followed up with his cover of Coldplay’s “Strawberry Swing”…
Tyler, The Creator made an appearance; snapping a photo of Ocean before performing “Analog 2.” After treating the audience with a earful of his material Ocean finished things up with his signature “Novacane” and newer “Whip Appeal.” After forty minutes of Ocean, the anticipation for his debut LP was that much higher.
