Following an incredible win at the 2012 London Olympics, President Obama personally called the fierce five to congratulate them on winning gold.
On Wednesday [July 31], Obama phoned Gabby Douglas, Jordyn Wieber, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross and McKayla Maroney while on Air Force One enroute to Ohio for campaign events from Washington D.C.
“I told these young ladies as I was congratulating them, how do you not bust your head every time you’re on that little balance beam?” Obama said. “I couldn’t walk across that balance beam.”
“You guys amaze us the most.”
