Jamaica Strikes Gold & Bronze In Women’s 100m Final! [Video]
It was the most heated match on the track today [August 4] in London and it was Jamaica, Jamaica, Jamaica digging up the track!
The frontrunners in the women’s 100m final consisted of Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Veronica Campbell-Brown, Carmelita Jeter, Allyson Felix, Tianna Madison, who all shot out from the blocks at top speeds in hopes of winning the coveted Olympic gold medal.
It could only be one winner and it was Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica who electrified the crowds running a blazing time of 10.75 s ahead of America’s Carmelita Jeter followed by Jamaica’s Veronica Campbell-Brown.
Shelly-Anne Fraser-Pryce has cemented her place in history as a repeat champion in the 100m final!
The medals are the first for Jamaica and the Caribbean in these Olympic games!
