“Let me tell ya. I’ve performed on a lot of stages. But nothing, NOTHING feels like tonight, Brooklyn.”
Brooklyn’s son has made the impossible possible.
Who would have thought the borough of Brooklyn would ever have it’s own stadium…it’s own NBA team? Surely not I. Tonight [Sept 27], Jay-Z went from sitting on the steps of Marcy to standing on his own arena stage…how’s that for a come up?
Thousands of fans and loyal supporters jammed into the state-of-the-art arena located , 620 Atlantic Avenue and rocked out to the sounds of Hot 97′s D.J’ Mista Cee as they waited for their Brooklynite to step onto the stage. Word is the sounds of the Notorious B.I.G., rocked the entire arena!
The lights dimmed, the mood was set and Jay appeared to thunderous applause all suited up in a #4 black Brooklyn Nets jersey with ‘Carter’ on the back, matching black vest, jeans and a matching Brooklyn Nets hat. The Carter’s sure do love the number 4!
Although Jay-Z stated that he wanted to be selfish tonight and that there would be no guest appearances, the man of the hour stepped to the side and allowed the legendary Brooklynite Big Daddy Kane rock the Center! Kane jammed to his hit, ‘No Half Steppin’ while hip-hop heads went wild!
We spied Beyonce & Magic Johnson in the house, Derron Williams as well as Angela Yee..
Jay also debuted a few new bars about his new team…we’re not sure if he has a surprise song on the way, but we wouldn’t put it past Jay…take a listen below!
“This is Rich Porter, part two/You can stunt like that when you rich before your debut/Money and the murder, rapper or the trapper…either way I’m gon’ serve you/Shooters on my team…/No really, I got shooters on my team/Juan or Deron, how you ni**as want it? Pick a arm/They call me Lucky Lefty/Ball so hard I don’t respect the fu***ng referees.”
