Yesterday, we gave you Part 1 of our interview with Tami Roman, and if you thought that was MAJOR, part 2 will have you talking. Tami breaks down the difference between her and new cast mate Meeka, opens up about how things that have affected her children in school and discusses her upcoming business ventures. She has a lot in store and you will be pleasantly surprised at what she has planned next in her life.

Before you read the interview, we want to thank Tami Roman for this exclusive interview with shesomajor.com. We give her the a ma-jah salute.  We wish her all the best in the future. It’s certainly looking very bright.

Vanessa: Meeka! The new girl! The viewers don’t want her back next season and you don’t see eye to eye with her. At what point did you decide you don’t see yourself being friends with her?

Tami: I didn’t see myself being friends with her, there was a scene that I went to hang out with them at a club and I pulled her to the side and I said, what do you think about everybody. She rattled down a list that she thought everybody was cool except for Royce. I tried to explain to her, I thought the same thing too but you know getting to know her now, I think she’s cool, you should get to know her to form your own opinion. What people have to understand is, I’m cool with Shaunie, I’m cool with Jennifer, Evelyn and I, we go up and down, one day I can’t stand her and she would probably cut my throat if she could and the next day it’s oh I love you, you’re the greatest thing. It’s like this, if you and I are sisters, I can say, bitch you make me sick but please don’t let nobody else say that you make them sick. You know what I’m saying? Meeka’s going back and forth talking about us to the other side because she thinks that’s going to help her get in with them. Not understanding that people have certain loyalties to certain people only because we don’t know you. So rather than coming into a situation and being shady, lay back, stay in the cut, get to know everybody and see who you really vibe with first. She was basically a fan of the show who decided at home that she needed to be in with Jenn, Evelyn and Shaunie and that’s what she was gonna do. She begged to be on the show. Nobody called her and asked her to come. She hunted Shaunie down. Let me be clear. You can have your opinion, I have a lot of opinions. I’m very vocal about my opinions but I’m also going to say what I have to say to the person I have the opinion about and that’s what she’s not doing. She’s going around in circles. I feel like I don’t know who this person is and she hasn’t given me a chance to know her or herself a chance to get to know me. Now it’s to a point where I don’t know if we could repair it.

Vanessa: Allegedly, you and Meeka got into an altercation recently in Italy. Is there any truth to the rumors, and if so, what stirred up the drama?

Tami: I can’t really talk about it, only because it is on the show and people will see what transpires.  This is what I’m gonna say, if you’re trying to be down with the king of the castle, then you have to take out the other kingdom, so to speak. There can only be one ruler. She decided that she wanted to be down with Evelyn and so if you want to be down with Evelyn, who do you go up against?  The one person that Evelyn has a problem with. All I can say is that if you put me in a position where I fill threatened, than I have a right to defend myself. And that’s it. [Laughs]

Vanessa: What example do you think Basketball Wives portrays to younger women that see you ladies and want to emulate your lifestyle?

Tami: Here’s the thing about Basketball Wives. I think everybody needs to view it for what it is, it’s a TV show. Even though it’s a reality show, it’s still for entertainment purposes only. I do not feel that young girls should look to us or anyone on TV to be their role model. That should come from their mothers, their grandmothers, their aunts, their sisters, positive influences that they can see every single day. A lot of times, what you see on TV is a façade. It’s something someone is putting out to you to make you think that it’s the truth and their real life is not really like that. I always say, the biggest myth about Hollywood is that everybody on TV, people think that they are rolling and those people are really living from pay check to pay check, probably don’t own their houses, lease their cars, all of their clothes are pulled from a showroom and they go right back soon as they get off the red carpet. You want to look up to somebody that you see everyday, a situation that you see is real to you everyday. So I’m saying, don’t look to us for anything except for entertainment. If you want to see me on a panel or when I’m doing expos and women’s conferences, that’s the Tami you should look up to but Tami on Basketball Wives, that’s for entertainment.

Vanessa: What other projects are you working on other than Basketball Wives? We’ve been hearing about a possible T-shirt line.

Tami: I actually have a tween clothing line that’s coming out that my daughters are helping me design. I think the kids are the way to go, they’re our future, so for me, my daugthers are helping me, along with a stylist, Jayda Audrick. We’re putting together our designs now, it’s going to be similar to like Hollister and Ambercrombie and Fitch. We’re really excited about it. I also have a weave hair line coming out that is launching July 1st. The hair that I’m wearing this year was custom blended for me. I sat down with somebody and went through textures and all of that stuff. Once people started saying they liked it, I said, Ohhh [Laughing] maybe this is my venture and God will put people in your path to make things happen when it’s the right time for it to happen. The company that was responsible for my hair, we teamed up and we’ve got a line coming out that matches basically the textures that I’m wearing this year and that people will see throughout the season. And of course my book, The B.I.T.C.H Chronicles and that stands for Believing In Total and Complete Honesty, and I think that’s who I am as a person and it speaks volumes about me. I come from a background where truth is imperative. I’ll be giving people the truth about me from childhood, all the way up until now and a lot of things I’ve gone through in my life. I think once people see what I’ve gone through, they’ll understand why I am the person that I am and really see me as a real example of having a true faith walk and those are the things I like to put out. What you see on Basketball Wives is twenty minutes of a situation that happened. It’s not me in my entirety.

Vanessa: Speaking of you doing MAJOR things. What makes Tami Roman MAJOR?

Tami: What makes me MAJOR is my ability to be non bias and speak the truth, no matter whether it hurts, because the truth is not always nice but at the end of the day, you can always respect a person that keeps it real and gives you the truth.

Catch Tami Roman on Basketball Wives, Monday nights at 8Pm on VH1.
