MAJOR Listen: The Yes Ma’ams Unveil ‘Taste Test’

There’s a new girl trio on the scene of major flamboyant proportions. Privacy, Secret and Slander b.k.a. as The Yes Ma’ams teased the public with two tracks earlier this year but on Good Friday they released their first major project. ‘Taste Test’ is the trio’s first EP consisting of eleven originally written and produced tracks.

Most recently, we can compare The Yes Ma’ams to the stinging edge of Electrik Red but going further back in time the ladies are a mix of En Vogue and Prince’s Vanity 6. Their music is a mix of the 80′s and present with the use of that hot funk, Pop, R&B and even Hip-Hop.

These women are selling sex appeal just as much as their music. The ladies have the girl group element and have an image so feminine that their journey is going to be a bit of a harder one to reach out to different audiences. If they can conquer that, then they’ll be well on their way.

C’mon, the “Right There (Interlude)” beat is harder than some of their male peers’ work.

Take a few and check out the EP.
