After weeks of teasing, Rihanna’s appearance on Oprah’s Next Chapter aired tonight, Sunday [August 19] on OWN.
The “We Found Love” singer was very real, uncensored and appeared more comfortable when discussing Chris Brown than her 2009 interview with Diane Sawyer, even revealing the two’s awkward meet up this summer in St. Tropez!
From the 2009 domestic violence incident, still being in love with her ex to stepping into the spotlight at the young age of 16, nothing was left unanswered or was there?
Although we enjoyed the interview, there were still a few unanswered questions we felt Oprah could’ve tackled. Was Chris abusing Rihanna often or was the altercation that occurred back in 2009 an isolated incident. What did Rihanna mean when she said, “nobody looked at the source?” Would she ever get back with Chris Brown?
Apart from the chit chatter about Chris Brown, Rihanna spoke tearfully about her late Gran Gran Dolly which left even us teary eyed, her relationship with her father and also we got to see Ri present her mother Monica with the keys to a swanky new home!
