After winning the first set 6-2 and losing the second set 2-6 and being down the beginning of the third set against No. 1 in the world, Victoria Azarenka, Serena Williams proved once again why she’s the queen of tennis.

On Sunday [Sept. 9] afternoon, Williams fought hard at Arthur Ashe Stadium to earn her fourth major title in New York and fifteenth overall.

Azarenka was up and serving for the match during the third set when Williams had a major comeback winning it 7-5.

Serena was shocked by her win and spoke about it during the trophy presentation where she was also given a check for $1.9 million dollars.

“I honestly can’t believe I won. I really was preparing my runner-up speech, because I thought, ‘Man, she’s playing so great.’”I’m really shocked.”
