The most talked about two weeks of the year are almost here, the 2012 Summer Olympic Games held in London. There are 205 nations expected to take part in 300 events at the games as the world watches in anticipation to see who will take home the gold. We know a lot of you are in route to London for Olympic Games. However; if you’re not participating in the summer games then chances are you’re not that concerned about cleats.

The tedious task of choosing which shoes to pack can be an overwhelming experience to a woman like me that has a connection with each and every pair of my shoes. It’s almost like leaving a child behind. What I recommend is to pack according to your travel itinerary.

Packing shoes when traveling can be tricky, because you want to have a pair for a variety of clothing while on your trip. If you travel frequently you’ve learned that shoes take up a lot of space in your suitcase. So what I suggest you do is pack one pair of dress and casual shoes and a pair of sandals or slippers. When you’re traveling you’re already wearing a pair of shoes, so take these into consideration when packing. Here are a few pairs of shoes to consider for your journey across the pond.

Sandals are inexpensive flat to pack and perfect for casual wear. They can go with almost any and every thing. These should be your to go shoe when traveling because they’re easy to slip on and off when going through security at the airport. Also they’re light weight and comfortable.

Casual Shoes

Remember to pack a pair of nice flats suitable for walking and site seeing. Something you know you’ll be comfortable in before hand. Pack something that you’re sure you’re going to wear and color coordinate it with the clothes you’ve packed. Remember these shoes will probably be worn the most.

‘Oxfords’ and ‘Loafers’ are huge this summer and are both comfortable and stylish! Oxfords are most flattering with shorts and skinny jeans. They’re great for both day and night.

If you want a more ‘sporty look’ choose tennis. They’re also popping up everywhere with different styles suitable for many different taste.

If you don’t know what you’ll be wearing go for ballet shoes. Ballet shoes are perfect with everything because of its round mouth. It makes the shoe more practical for every day wear. These types of shoes can also go from day to night.

Dress Shoes

Ladies make sure to pack heels that can go with more than one outfit so you can save room for any souvenirs and shopping items you may bring back.

The best thing to do for dress shoes is to bring a pair of neutral tone shoes to insure that they work well with any dark or bright clothing you may bring.

If you‘ve already set your mind on shoes with color, go for something with two or more colors. Match the colors in the shoes with colors in your wardrobe. That way you can save yourself time and space when packing.

These shoes were found in shoe stores in both the United States and United Kingdom. Therefore if you forget anything you can search for them while shopping online or in stores like Forever 21, Aldo, Zara, and H & M. Ladies we want you to have fun and we want you to be comfortable during the Olympics.
