Ladies! Accessories are the number one statement piece that can take you from a super casual look to chic in a matter of seconds.

We’ve found the perfect spot for you to find all the hottest trends and you won’t be disappointed.

Keena Williams had the mindset of an entrepreneur from a very young age. With a vision and a dream, Williams took the step and opened So Excessive Boutique in New Jersey.

Vanessa: You were a high school student selling jewelry out of the cafeteria… Tell us how that all began…

Keena Williams: My love for jewelry kind of happened overnight, literally. My weekends were spent at one of my older, more fashionable cousin’s home playing dress up. She actually gave me my first pair of big earrings, they were these huge ball earrings that hung down to my shoulders, and I instantly fell in love, and the rest is history.

Vanessa: When did you decide to open your own boutique?

Keena: When I started selling jewelry fifteen years ago, opening a boutique that catered to jewelry was always in the plan. So when the opportunity presented itself I made the decision to leave my job and follow my dreams, and So Excessive Boutique became a reality.

Vanessa:  What can customers expect as they enter So Excessive?

Keena: We like to offer our customers a personal experience at So Excessive Boutique. Shopping with us is just like shopping with your uber stylish best friend who always knows exactly what you should wear with what.

Whether you are an “accessory virgin” or the “Queen of Accessorizes” we have pieces that are aligned with your style aesthetic.

Vanessa: What are some of the top selling pieces for the fall/winter season?

Keena: Our statement earrings are always our top seller year round, but in the Fall/Winter season there is always a huge increase.  This is partly because these are the colder months where we layer up and the ears become the focal point.

Vanessa: What is the price range of items in your store?

Keena: We have pieces that fit every budget. Our price points range from $6 – $100, but they are all equally FAB! My philosophy is that I don’t want customers to think about paying a bill or buying some costume jewelry, I want them to be able to do both and our prices allow that.

Vanessa: Have you ever wanted to design you own jewelry line and if so what type of jewelry?

Keena: I would love to design a full collection in the future. I actually design some of the pieces we carry at So Excessive. I know our customer, and if I’m looking for a certain look or type of jewelry that I know she would love, and I’m having difficulty finding it, I will then create it.  So its allowed me to start thinking of the type of pieces that I would like to create in a full jewelry line.

Vanessa: Do you plan on opening more So Excessive boutiques?

Keena: I definitely do! Every city needs some “Excessiveness” and I intend to open additional locations in 2012, so stay tuned.

Vanessa: What makes you MAJOR?

Keena: Being a entrepreneur is not easy at all, but I never expected it to be.

I’m the definition of Excessiveness and not only because I wear 10 bangles at once, but because my lifestyle has always been about going after what I want.

I started So Excessive with my own funds and I refuse to give up. I plan on making the So Excessive brand as large as possible, so I appreciate all of the hard work, sweat and tears that come with it. So that in my opinion, make me MAJOR.
