‘Summer Jam Is The Headline, Not Nicki’ – Hot 97 Program Director Ebro Airs Out Nicki Minaj!

The drama surrounding Nicki Minaj’s pull out at this year’s Hot 97 Summer Jam continues to intensify.  Last night [June 4] the ‘Starships’ rapper took to the airwaves to address her decision with FunkMaster Flex, and this morning [June 5] she also found her way on the airwaves hamming it up to competitors at Power 105′s, ‘The Breakfast Club”.

Now, we finally get the scoop from the source, Hot 97′s head honcho, the program director, Ebro Darden, who, if you were paying attention, Nicki ‘tweeted’ to give Wayne a call on Sunday after Peter Rosenberg’s diss.

Here’s a video of Ebro speaking on Nicki Minaj’s pullout, saying that although many were considering Nicki Minaj to be the ‘headliner’, she indeed was not. #shotsfired

Ebro: She could be that mad I think it’s deeper than that and it’s not with her.  Many years ago me and Wayne had our differences here at Hot 97 …So a lot of people don’t know I’ve known Slim and Baby since the early 90′s, before they was getting money.  I’ve been in this business 22 years, so there’s a lot of things that I know…which is why I’m not on the radio anymore.  I know too much.
