‘The Dark Knight Rises’ At The Box Office!

While the shooting in Aurora, Colorado might have swayed many away from the theaters this weekend, others couldn’t wait to take in Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.

While forecasters projected the movie would take in somewhere around the figure of $170 million to $198 million, the movie was estimated to have raked in a respectable $162 million. I’d say that’s a pretty darn good figure despite the tragic killing of those innocent souls in Colorado.  Out of respect for the victims of the tragedy, official box office numbers won’t be released until tomorrow which will see the comic book based movie rise.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ now takes it’s place in history as the highest opening 2-D film [domestically] and third biggest movie opening trailing behind 3-D films The Avengers and Harry Potter [domestically].

The movie which we took in on opening day was beyond majah!
