JetBlue has always been my favourite airline. Since inception, their rates have been competitive, their service immaculate and their timing impeccable. They were one of the only airlines offering inflight snacks and free baggage allowance when everyone else sunk into the recession. I have gotten free credits when my inflight entertainment cut out mid-flight and they have never made me pay for a flight that I’ve missed. JetBlue will always be my favorite.
The airline’s marketing game has always been major and they recently rolled out a genius Mother’s Day advertisement that will make even the grinch smile. They tackled the case of crying babies in their #FlyBabies Mother’s Day ad, and it made me tear up. I will be the first to admit that I am one of those persons who pray that there are no babies on my flight. Babies are fussy; they cry, they scream, they make flights miserable. Now thanks to JetBlue, I can’t look at them the same after this.
On April 15 passengers on Flight 213 from New York to Long Beach, California were in for an extra treat! For every baby cry on the flight, they received 25% off their next trip and at the end of the seven hour flight (the babies on board) Max, Donnavon, Lila, Beck and Reese ensured that all 140 passengers onboard were rewarded with a free roundtrip ticket on JetBlue.
The ad makes you sympathize with mothers and the arduous task of traveling with little ones. It most definitely made me more empathetic.
Sorry to every mother I sent a dirty look. My bad!
