‘Welcome to The Bahamas, the place where God lives.’ – This saying made popular by the late Dr. Myles Munroe still rings true today even in the wake of the devastating hurricane, Joaquin. While many of the islands have sustained major damages, the tranquility and beauty of the islands still can not be matched.
While touring Rum Cay & San Salvador yesterday, two of the islands in the South pummeled by the hurricane, I was able to speak with a few of the islanders and they are all but hopeless. They still wear smiles on their faces as big as the sun and have all joined in the rebuilding efforts.
While the rebuilding efforts have only just begun, I can firmly attest that it #StillIsBettterInTheBahamas
