While the Greek island of Mykonos is known as the party island, there is so much more to do on this treasured little island. The island is absolutely gorgeous with it’s cycladic architecture, it’s stunning vistas and amazing nightlife.
While I’m not a partier, I decided to instead take the path less taken by the millions of visitors to the island each year; I hired a local guide and took a car ride around the entire island. My guide Thassos was absolutely fantastic. He was passionate, funny, knowledgable and even bought us free ice-cream and coffee. We stopped at the famous Mykonos Lighthouse, we stopped at the infamous Super Paradise Beach, saw the windmills, and watched the sunset.
What more can I say, Mykonos was nothing short of magical.
