Major Bucket List: Erna's Natural Pool

If you’re looking for an off the beaten path experience, go south.

I recently visited the island of Long Island, one of the southernmost islands in The Bahamas, and while it has received extensive damages as a result of Hurricane Joaquin, it still remains a gem in a chain of jewels.

While on the island I stayed at the quaint Stella Maris Resort Beach Resort located on the northern end of the island and while there I re-discovered the must visit ‘Erna’s Natural Pool’. While most resorts boost of ultra-luxurious pools in the most spectacular locales, undoubtedly the best pools are those carved by nature’s hand.

This rock pool located on the Atlantic Sea side of Stella Maris provides sweeping and breathtaking views of the Bahama blues, and allows for a nice dip.

A must list on your bucket list.
