I know, it’s not even Fall yet, but I’m soooo ready to step into Summer. While I do live in the Tropics, the water hasn’t heated up to the right temperature for me just yet. But, that isn’t going to stop me from a little window shopping!
Recently I’ve been eyeing the British Virgin Island swimwear brand Trèfle, which is owned by Caribbean entrepreneur and designer Kristin Frazer. I met Kristin maybe nine years ago while in The Bahamas at a fashion show where she was showcasing her new swimwear line. She was the sweetest lady, positive and had a great eye for fashion, and even allowed me at 5’1 to walk the runway in her designs. I instantly fell in love with the brand.
While entrepreneurship is no easy feat, Frazer kept at it and in 2014, major international entertainer Beyonce and her daughter Blue Ivy, were spotted rocking swimsuits from the brand. Trèfle continued to bloom in 2015 and yet another star aligned itself to the brand, Grammy Award singer Chrisette Michelle was enlisted as the face of Trèfle.
I’ve officially dubbed 2016 as the year of Trèfle. The summer collection Atacama is life. I am a lover of all things floral and the collection boasts of an explosion of color and floral prints. From bikinis to one pieces, cover ups and accessories, as well as swimwear for men, Trèfle is set to heat up the summer.
