After almost a year of sewing in the dining room, stairwell and guest bedrooms, I have finally put together a comfy sewing room – and everyone in the house is grateful! 🙂
Building my sewing room meant working with a limited space as well as a budget. I know that I needed storage space, a medium size cutting table as well as a nice and a sturdy sewing table. Beyond all of these things, I also wanted to make it a little cute!
I think I was able to accomplish all of these things. I was able to source all of my main pieces from Ikea; a sewing table, bookshelf/storage, craft cart and a cutting table. While Ikea usually gets a bad rep, I had no issues with any of the products I bought. On the contrary, I love them all! They were reasonably priced, and do exactly what I need them to.
While I am still adding pieces as I grow into my new space – it’s a perfect start.
