Rome, it’s been far too long…nevertheless, I’m happy to be back! I’ve spent the last few days roaming around the cobblestoned streets of Roma, eating pizza, pasta, gelato and drinking copious amounts of Lambrusco while people watching! It’s been nothing short of a dream.
As it’s not my first time in the eternal city, there was absolutely no pressure to stick to a set schedule. All I’ve been doing is simply roaming around with my love and friends. We literally sit for hours at a time at restaurants and eat until we’re in a food-induced coma.
While food and convo have been the priority, we managed to pull ourselves away from the restaurants to do something different and managed to squeeze in a few historic stops. We night toured the iconic Roman amphitheater, the Colosseum, paid a visit to the Spanish Steps, took a peep at the newly renovated Trevi Fountain and took a leisure stroll through the Piazza Navona! All short but sweet visits.
If you are heading to Rome, please put all of these on your to-do list in addition to visits to the Vatican, St. Peter’s Basilica, the Sistine Chapel, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, and take a pasta-making class in Trastevere!
P.S. I wasn’t sure I was going to discuss my unfortunate incident of getting robbed in Rome, but I wanted to share the experience to help anyone who may be headed to the eternal city! Watch “Robbed in Rome” on my Youtube channel to find out the 411!
