Finding the right hair products to work for me and the climate that I live in is an everyday struggle. This year I promised myself to slow down on trying new things and work with what I currently had stocked in my cabinet but, I haven’t been successful in that endeavor. I recently found myself back at it again trying out a new collection, the Eden Bodyworks Papaya Castor Collection!
I have never used any products from the company, but I have always heard great, no awesome reviews about the products. I live in The Bahamas, it’s so difficult just walking into a store to find certain products, because of this I haven’t been able to try the brand until now. I ordered the new line from their website and had it shipped via my freight forwarder to The Bahamas.
I was drawn to the new Eden Bodyworks Papaya Castor collection because of the main ingredients, Papaya + Castor and the benefits both combined would have on my hair.
We know that a good foundation makes all the difference for hair growth. Healthier hair starts at the scalp. It’s why we paired Papaya, known for its scalp nourishing properties, and Castor Oil, to experience less breakage, strengthen strands, and add volume to limp hair. Lock in moisture, add shine, and prevent balding. From scalp to style, this collection has you covered.
I have a super dry and flaky scalp and finding the right natural products to use to target this problem has been a bit difficult, so I jumped on the opportunity to buy the entire collection which was on sale for $40.00.
The Eden Bodyworks Papaya Castor collection comes with five full-sized products:
Scalp Cleanser | Foam Conditioner | Curl Jam | Hairdress | Scalp Serum
On wash day, I used 4 out of 5 of the Eden Bodyworks Papaya Castor products. I started with the scalp cleaner, which I loved. My scalp felt clean, the product had lots of slip and my hair didn’t feel stripped after washing. Next, I used the foaming conditioner, which I was a little skeptical about, as foam and my hair usually don’t mix. But, it worked! My hair loved the product and my curls were super defined. After, I used the nourishing curl jam as my styler, another product my hair absolutely loved. The consistency was more of rich thick cream and less of gel or jam. I loved the added definition and was surprised by how well the foam and the curl jam worked together. When my hair had dried 90%, I massaged the scalp serum into my hair.
The results speak for themselves!

I love to be fair in my reviews and give you my honest opinion, so I have to say, there’s just this one thing I did not like about the products. On day 1, my hair was without a fault, every hair was laid into place, the definition was unreal, everything was perfect. So what’s wrong?
Day 2! My hair was still beautiful, but it lost a lot of its Day 1 luster. The definition was still amazing, but I had a lot of frizz and my hair had swollen, it was BIG! While not a problem, I do prefer products I can get a good 3-4 days out of. Now, this could be because I only used ONE styling product on my hair. I don’t consider the foaming conditioner to be a “styling” product. My hair is THICK, the more product the better. Does this mean I don’t love the products and won’t buy them again? No! I absolutely love the products, and I will be repurchasing but I will probably incorporate an additional product into my routine to ensure I get the most wear when I wash my hair.
If you have natural, curly, kinky, or coily hair, I know the Eden Bodyworks Papaya Castor collection will become a staple in your hair regime! I also look forward to trying and sharing more products by Eden here on the blog.

I saw your post on Instagram and thought wow! Glad you like the products. Try the conditioning hairdress as a finisher for sheen/shine (might help with the frizz too) – same day or next day.
Thank you for that tip! Wash day is tomorrow, so I will def add the hairdress as a finisher and see how that helps! But, I’m absolutely in LOVE with this line!
