I am just a few days into my annual African experience with Explore Africa Tour and I’m one part jet-lagged, one part overwhelmed and all parts grateful to be back in this rich and beautiful continent.
While I love travelling, let’s face it, it has its disadvantages, the biggest for me being the toll it takes on my skin. The change in weather, water, and food wreak havoc on my already problematic skin. If you’ve been following me for some time, you would know that I am obsessed with skincare. I’ve tried just about everything, the Korean Method, diet changes, and monthly facials and I’m always on the hunt for new products.
As a teenager, one of my favourite products was the Neutrogena facial cleansing bar for acne prone skin. Looking back at it, I’m unsure why I ever got rid of it. It was an inexpensive staple, it did the job. My skin was always clean, smoothe, and poppin’! While on the hunt recently for some travel products, I decided to partner with Neutrogena to test out a few of their popular acne specific products.
I’ve been using the Pink Grapefruit Body Wash for over a year for my bacne (that’s a whole nother story!), so I didn’t have too many reservations about using the Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser, and the Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub. I coupled those cleaners with the Oil-Free Acne Moisturizer and packed the Neutrogena Rapid Clear pads and On-the-Spot Acne Treatment for some back-up just in case my skin decided to break out.
I won’t lie, trying new products is nerve-wracking, but Neutrogena is a renowned brand known for great skin care products so that settled my nerves a bit. So far, so good, I’ve not had any new breakouts and I absolutely adore the smell and feel of the Pink Grapefruit cleansers. They do have a little tingle/kick to it which I love and my skin feels baby soft after!
