Why are we discussing this in 2020 again?
A recent airplane incident has the entire world pitted against each other. While on a recent flight one woman exercised her airplane right to recline her paid seat – a man, whose seat could not recline was pissed and banged on her seat for what could have been half of the flight.
I don’t know why this is a discussion because banging on someone’s seat should be against the law especially if it’s done in a malicious manner, he could’ve injured that woman. The act was totally unacceptable.
This video has the internet legitimately divided .
Dude is in the last seat on the plane. Seat doesn’t recline.
Hers does. And she reclines.
He’s upset, and is punching her seat incessantly— so she records.

This has been a long-standing issue, reclining your seat versus not reclining. Who is right? Here are my thoughts, if I pay for a seat on an airline that has the ability to recline, I AM RECLINING! This is a non-issue for me. I will throw that chair back like a lazy boy! There is only one rule, never recline while someone is eating, it’s just rude.
If you have a problem with a passenger reclining, you should pay for additional legroom, or fly in 1st class. The onus should never be on a passenger to police their comfort level because an airline is being cheap and stealing legroom at every opportunity.
Also, if you’re choosing a seat, make sure it reclines so you won’t be caught looking like an absolute hot mess on camera.
What are your thoughts? Do you recline?
